Anniversary Wishes

Last weekend Dave and I had the amazing experience of celebrating our 23rd Wedding anniversary. I guess it's amazing because it sounds like SO many and yet I can barely remember a time before I was married.

We decided to celebrate with a brunch this year. My sweet friend Ris took our kids to church for us so we got to go out and enjoy some bacon & eggs with a view over Manly beach- yum and aawww!!!

Later that day we went to see the How to Train your Dragon show. The children loved it - particularly Kik and Stella who are huge toothless fans.

We did get off to a bit of a false start as our youngest found the beginning really overwhelming! After about 20minutes she settled and returned to her seat. The show was excellent - very well done, amazing effects and exciting! Big recommendation here...

So it probably wasnt the traditional anniversary but it was loads of fun and so nice to get to share time alone together as well as time with the girls.Happy Anniversary honey!

Creativity Runs in the Family!

I have had a super busy week this week gearing up for some exciting news that I will be sharing at a later date... although can I just hint.... only 6 weeks to go!!!

So this week has been a very creative week and I am grabbing every second to pick up a brush or pencil. As I looked around this week I have been delighted to see that the creative juices are flowing all throughout the family which isn't unusual but I don't know I had actually notice how much time my sweet cherubs spend creating!

So here is my Jaz..... so motivated to make friendship bracelets for a ll family members as well as friends. She has a generous heart and giving in this way is important to her.
Kiki is a pokemon and Manga maniac. She is drawing most of the time, including sometimes when she should be getting ready for school. She is currently working on perfecting dragons!
Finally my 3rd angel has a major paper fettish that is costing the big bucks!!! When in paper supplies that is.
She loves to draw and loves the paper itself. Sometimes I find her asleep in bed with the paper still wrapped up in her arms- too cute!

So in our household creating is an everyday event. Here's a peek into a future art work... just a peek....

Love to vintage

I have a vintage store just 5 minutes away from that is my favourite store! There is almost always a treasure to be found there and when I look around my home I can see evidence of those fun treasure hunting adventures. I try to visit every few weeks and this week I found two beautiful items that I'd like to share with you...

I love this gorgeous lamp in all her vintage 1950's beauty. I love how she is reading and relaxed. I find myself these days spending a lot of time reading on the computer which just doesn't have the same relaxing feel to it...... and if I'm on the lounge to relax I'm more likely to be saying " Pass my ipad honey!"

Here is the second beautiful treasure - a buffet painted white ( of course) with a lovely carved inset. I'm imagining it in my dining room when our renovations are complete.... and it's on sale! For the moment I am picturing hubbie saying 'but where will we put it? " hmmm maybe a valid question, but it is exactly what I 'd like!
dream ..............dream..................dream..................
